My commitment to student success is rooted in my own story. As a former EL student who grew up in poverty, I know firsthand that a student’s current circumstances does not define their potential, but rather their environment dictates their opportunity. I have walked the long path from those early challenges to where I am today, and that journey fuels my mission to remove the barriers I once faced.

My career in education began over a decade ago in the classroom, where I realized that unresolved behavioral challenges were the ultimate barrier to learning. This led me to earn a second Master’s in School Counseling, where I learned how to bridge the gap between mental health and academic achievement.

At Swan Lake Consulting, I move beyond managing symptoms to addressing the 'why' behind the behavior. I empower students with the precise tools they lack such as emotional regulation, self-advocacy, and conflict resolution to ensure that our services are psychologically sound, developmentally appropriate, and immediately transformative

  • Doctoral Candidate, Educational Leadership

I'm a MTSS-certified specialist with over a decade of experience supporting schools and districts in building sustainable, student-centered systems. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance/Health Science, a Master’s degree in Education, and I’m currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Health and Wellness.

My work focuses on bridging research, policy, and the daily realities of schools by building practical MTSS frameworks such as tiered supports, data systems, and staff protocols that lead to meaningful, lasting change. I’ve supported MTSS, RTI, and PBIS implementation across elementary, middle, and high school settings, both nationally and internationally, and I’m passionate about helping schools create systems that support student success, educator well-being, and long-term sustainability.
